All about the Pfirst Steps Academy

Pfirst Steps Academy is a tuition-based, licensed Child Care Development Center proudly owned and operated by Pflugerville Independent School District. As a Texas Rising Star-recognized program, Pfirst Steps Academy is committed to providing high-quality childcare services exclusively for PfISD employees.

Currently serving PfISD employees only, our program provides care for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment designed to support every stage of early childhood development. We believe the early years are the foundation for lifelong learning, and we strive to create meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence.

The employees of Pfirst Steps Academy are dedicated PfISD staff members who are passionate about supporting the educational, social, emotional, and developmental growth of every child in our care. Through age-appropriate learning experiences, guided play, structured routines, and positive interactions, our classrooms are designed to help children thrive both academically and socially.

Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate early childhood environment that supports the growth and well-being of young children. We are committed to delivering high-quality, accessible childcare services that strengthen families and support PfISD’s educational mission.

At Pfirst Steps Academy, we believe children learn best in supportive, engaging, and responsive environments that meet their individual needs. Through strong partnerships with families, we strive to create meaningful early learning experiences that foster confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Registration Fees & Monthly Tuition

Registration Fees:

Due at time of registration / acceptance into the program.

$50 per child or
$125 for three or more children

All Registration Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Monthly Tuition:

Parents will be able to select their tuition fee of choice during the registration process;

Infants 6 weeks - 18 months = $790.00
Toddlers 18 months - max 3 years = $715.00
Pre-School 3 years - max 4 years = $690.00

All tuition fees are due on the 1st of each month; August - May.

CCS/CCMS Accepted

Financial assistance may be available upon request. However, proof of CCS/CCMS waitlist notification is required in order to apply. For more information regarding CCS/CCMS or Financial assistance please contact the EDP Office.
