Arts & Crafts

We love integrating Arts & Crafts into the EDP experience. Be on the lookout for your students art to be sent home or displayed in the EDP area.


We love integrating sports into our indoor/outdoor activities for our students. Don't like flag football? That's okay, we can play soccer, basketball, or even kickball!


All About After School

**The After School Program is held at all PfISD Elementary Schools**

The Extended Day Program After School Experience  

The Extended Day Program is a tuition-based, Texas Rising Star certified, licensed childcare operation that services elementary school age students. EDP has many components to keep your student engaged during after school. While each campus is unique, you can expect to see the following at each:


  • Homework Time—Students are provided a quiet environment dedicated to homework Monday thru Thursday. Books are available to read for students who have completed their homework. The amount of time dedicated to homework varies by grade level. Students who require additional time will be accommodated provided staffing and scheduling allow. Each student is responsible for his/her own homework. The Extended Day Program staff are not responsible for checking a students homework, nor confirming that the student has an assignment on any given day. Tutoring and direct homework assistance are also not provided. However, the Extended Day Program staff will provide direction and assistance when possible. Homework and reading time are not used as a discipline tool.  
  • Snack—Each student is offered a daily snack that meets DFPS Minimum Standard requirements. 
  • Outdoor/Gym Time—Students are provided structured and unstructured time for physical activities.  
  • Centers/Art—Age appropriate centers and art activities to keep students entertained.  
  • Computer Time—Students are permitted to go on district-approved websites to continue learning. 
  • CATCH Curriculum—Used to facilitate active play both indoors and outdoors. 
  • Enrichment Activities—Activities may include science, music, dance, technology, dramatic play and more.
  • Parent Events—Monthly activities provided to parents by our campus staff to help engage relationships.  

**Student's must be picked up no later than 6:30pm**


2024-25 After School 

Registration Fees & Monthly Tuition

Registration Fees:

Due at time of registration / acceptance into the After School Program.

  • $50 per student or
  • $125 for three or more students

All Registration Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Monthly Tuition:

Parents will be able to select their tuition fee of choice during the registration process;

  • PfISD Family Tuition Fee: $280 per student
  • Advertised Tuition Fee: $415 per student 

After School Tuition Fees are due on the 1st of each month; August 2024 - May 2025. 

CCS/CCMS Accepted

Financial assistance may be available upon request. However, proof of CCS/CCMS waitlist notification is required in order to apply. For more information regarding CCS/CCMS or Financial assistance please contact the EDP Office.

**Students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2024 in order to attend the 2024-25 After School Program.**


How to Register

Registration Opened: 

April 29, 2024 @ 8:00 a.m. 

All registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. Due to the high volume of registrations coming in we ask that you please allow 10-15 business days to process your registration form. Once your form has been processed you will receive a confirmation email. However, if we reach your contract and the campus is full, we will send you a waitlist notification. If you have any further questions in regards to registration please email the as our phone lines are very busy during this time. 

All registrations are processed in the order in which they are received.

**Some campuses may be WAITLISTED for the 24-25 After School Program.**
Please contact the EDP Office if you are needing to Register for the 23-24 School Year.
